Sting to Headline Super Bowl Concert in San Francisco
Sting is set to perform at a concert associated with the NFL Super Bowl on February 6 at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, organized by the NFL's hospitality partner, On Location. This event will take place just two days prior to the Super Bowl at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, where Bad Bunny will headline the halftime show. Sting, who previously co-headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2003 alongside Shania Twain and No Doubt, will be part of the Super Bowl LX Studio 60 event, which promises an unforgettable musical experience at this iconic venue. The event will also feature opportunities for attendees to meet NFL legends and current players. A second night of Studio 60 festivities is scheduled for February 7, although no performers have been announced for that evening. Despite recent criticisms surrounding the halftime show, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell expressed confidence in the upcoming performances.
Sting Austin Concert reviews
Sting and SPAC - Not his fault
Opening act was less than expected - was waiting for him to end - too much of the same. Sound during Sting's performance was 'muddy' and difficult to hear the other members and other instruments unless they were soloing. My wife who is much less critical of things also stated this on her own. We saw BB King and Sting previously at SPAC and even during last year concerts, the fidelity was clean, crisp and everyone in the bands could be heard clearly - unless it was too loud (Santana). The sound engineer and/or any new acoustics for SPAC need to be addressed. Overall SPAC has gone downhill and the ugly beer hall pavilion does not fit SPAC. The concrete blocks in the building to the right as you cross over the bridge look like they were installed by high school students learning masonry for the first time. Thanks to SPAC and Live Nation the bridge is now perpetually closed and off limits for people to see the beautiful falls and stream throughout the year. Parking on the critical root zones of the trees that form the Avenue of the Pines and lead up to the Victoria Pool building is going to end - wait for it. The entire Spa State Park is being turned into a parking lot thanks to piss poor park management and Live Nation. I will refrain from swearing in this review, but many are furious about how the park and SPAC are now being destroyed for the financial benefit of a few. But hey, at least there was some grass left this year on the lawn and all the top soil did not wash away again down into the stream.
